Why this site exists
Vendor product pages are written to sell a license. They are not always the easiest place to answer a practical question like "will the free edition let me scan a network share" or "is it safe to delete WinSxS." This site exists to answer those questions directly, in the order a person actually runs into them: what TreeSize is, how to use it, and what to do before deleting anything.
We link back to the developer's own pages whenever a question depends on something only the vendor can confirm, such as current pricing, exact version numbers, or license terms.
What this site deliberately does not do
- We do not host installers or mirror downloads. Any download link on this site points to the developer's own site.
- We do not sell software, licenses, or upgrades, and we have no checkout or payment system.
- We do not provide product support for TreeSize itself. If the program is crashing, won't scan, or needs a license fixed, that is a question for the developer, not for us.
- We do not claim to represent JAM Software GmbH in any capacity, and no page on this site should be read as an official statement from that company.
Who this site is written for
The audience is anyone trying to free up disk space on Windows: home users staring at a full C: drive, and IT staff who need to report on file server usage. Our guides section is organized around specific tasks rather than around the product's menu structure, because that is closer to how people actually search for help.
Independence and sourcing
We describe how we research and correct pages in the editorial policy. If you find something inaccurate or out of date, see the contact page for how to tell us.
